Accrobranche de Moliets: 3 good reasons to get away from it all in the Landes forest!

Published on 10/11/2022

Need to switch off, get away from it all and get closer to nature? Do you want to push yourself to the limit and get your adrenalin pumping? Then head for the Moliets accrobranche park , in the heart of the Landes forest, just a 5-minute drive from our 5-star campsite in Messanges.

Halfway between climbing and hiking, Adrénaline Parc offers a sporting adventure ideal for families, accessible to everyone from a very young age. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to play Tarzan in the trees and move upwards on suspended workshops. Equipped with harnesses, lanyards and helmets, young and old alike will make their way from tree to tree, linking monkey bridges, ropes, nets, beams, tightrope cables and other zip lines. Safety is guaranteed by a continuous lifeline, so there's no risk of falling to the ground or falling off! Here are three excellent reasons to spend an adventurous family day at Adrénaline Parc during the holidays!

A unique family experience

A very popular activity every summer, accrobranche can be enjoyed by the whole family with their children, as long as they are supervised by a professional and choose a course suited to their level. At Adrénaline Parc, there's something for everyone! Even the youngest children, aged 5 and over, can experience great adventures and learn about the joys of climbing in complete safety.

The Moliets adventure park has around twenty acrobatic courses graded by colour (according to difficulty) and over 250 workshops to suit every level of fitness. Children and teenagers, whether beginners or experienced, start with the introductory loop before moving on to the green runs, with limited heights. For the more agile, the blue runs offer more or less thrills, without requiring too much physical effort. The red and black runs, on the other hand, are reserved for adults and more experienced skiers.

The continuous lifeline allows you to follow the entire course without ever having to detach your safety hook. Qualified instructors are always on hand to look after your safety and help you if you need it.

More than just a leisure activity, it's a complete sport!

A mixture of hiking, climbing and via ferrata, accrobranche is a complete sport that involves 90% of the body's muscles. You need flexibility, coordination and endurance. While some of the routes are a 'walk in the park', others are an 'obstacle course'! A word of advice: to avoid aching biceps, use your legs more than your arms. "I put my feet up first, then my hands".

Become one with nature

Nestling in Moliets, just 6 km from the 5-star Lou Pignada campsite and a stone's throw from the Courant d'Huchet nature reserve, Adrénaline Parc lets you enjoy the enchanting setting of the Landes forest, the largest forest in Western Europe! In the midst of lush vegetation, you'll spend some privileged moments in contact with nature and animals.

It's not unusual to come across a red squirrel or heron in the treetops, or to catch a glimpse of a hare crossing the path below. Did you know? In Japan, people believe that trees have superpowers. Shinrin-yoku (literally "forest bathing") is a very popular practice in Japan, involving hugging trees and trying to make contact with them.
